I want to begin by saying thank you all for checking out my blog page and subscribing.
I pray that the vulnerable moments in my life shed light on any areas that may make you feel as if you are alone: because you are not. As a matter of fact, exposing the real you will be proof that your flaws, insecurities, and weakness make you more relatable to the person standing next to you. And the beautiful picture about this is, GOD wants to use it all.
My name is Widny, but as you all can see, you may also call me Wid or Widster, whichever one rocks your boat is fine with me.
So let’s get started here …
What inspired me to start sharing my journey on a public platform was actually keeping a prayer journal that became a safe place to write down anything that was on my mind and in my heart.
And you name it, anything you can imagine as a single woman, not understanding her worth and value, confused about her identity, fighting temptation, but yet losing battles time and time again, was all written.
Written in my journal …
I remember thinking to myself, “What if I were to lose my journal somewhere in the church, work, or perhaps leaving it at a friend’s house. What would my personal struggles look like if it were to be shown on the big screen?” (Em-bara-ssing)!
God spoke so gently to me and said, “Widny, if you expose yourself, no one else can expose you.” Wow, that is so true.
From that day on, I gained strength from the idea of ever losing my journal and said to myself, “Let’s talk about it.” Because the truth of the matter is this, no one can tell your story better than you. So why not tell it how it is and help so many individuals along the way as you’re being transparent.
I want to thank you all again for starting this journey with me. I’m excited to share my life journey: the good, the bad, and sometimes the ugly.
