Juicing on a Budget: How to Get the Most Nutrients Without Breaking the Bank

At the start of this year, juicing became a total game-changer for me, and I genuinely recommend it to anyone entering their “giving my body the nutrients it needs” era. Lately, I’ve been more determined than ever to make healthier choices. Instead of just talking about change, I’ve been proactive—setting realistic goals and taking practical steps toward a healthier lifestyle. As I keep reminding myself, doing something is better than doing nothing at all.

Why Juice?

My main reason for starting this juicing journey wasn’t just to lose weight. In fact, once I stopped obsessing over the number on the scale and shifted my focus to having more energy, reducing bloating, and fueling my body to perform at its best, that’s when I truly started seeing progress. Now, along with consistent workouts 3–4 times a week and a new hobby (hello tennis girlie! 🎾), I’m feeling more energized than I have in a long time.

What inspired me to add juicing into my routine was actually my co-worker, Kayla—shoutout to you, sis! 👏🏽 She would show up to work with a bag full of freshly pressed juices in fun drink pouches, and pass them around for us to try. I remember sipping on a green juice one day and thinking, wow, this is refreshing. But more than that, my body clearly needed every ingredient in that pouch—it digested easily and left me feeling good. For many of us, we have somehow conditoned our minds to belive that making healthier choices in our eating habits is expensive and it's way easier to indulge in food that is higher carbs, sodium...etc. I, too, have had that way of thinking until I made the decision to use what I have within my means.  Living a healthier lifestyle is possible, even on a tight budget. With a little creativity and planning, you can enjoy the benefits of juicing without overspending.

Affordable juicing tips

So, I wanted to share a few of my favorite, go-to juices. They’re simple to make, budget-friendly, and packed with goodness. I even like giving them fun names to keep things exciting. Let me know what you think—and feel free to share your own recipes too!

Juicing Tips: The price of juicers can range from affordable to shocking, and with so many options, selecting one can be a challenge. However, I am here to tell you that you don’t need a fancy or expensive juicer to get started. I, on the other hand, prefer using a blender—it’s easier to clean and gets the job done just fine. To strain the pulp, I use a cheesecloth (you can grab one here on Amazon).

Best juicing recipes for gut health, hydration:

Green Glow Juice

This one here helps me with bloating, digestion, and breakouts on my face. Anytime I see my face breaking out from consuming a little too much sweet, or perhaps my menstrual cycle is on the way, I immediately run to make my Green Glow Juice. I usually make enough for three days and try my best to eat as clean as possible; the wonders this juice makes are impeccable! And don't be surprised if you find yourself constantly running to the bathroom to urinate. hehe

Rooted Energy Juice (Beet Juice)

Juicing can play a role in a balanced diet. It can help you get fruits and vegetables if you don't enjoy eating them. For instance, I love beets and carrots, but I know many others do not like them, but I promise you that juicing them will change your taste palate.
