God dealt with me concerning my poor stewardship of what was in my hand to win. We often attempt to figure out the next step, the next move of God in our life but have yet to obey the first set of instructions He gave.

Choose forgiveness and HEAL.

Forgiveness will begin the process of healing a wound that was caused by others. Though it may take time to heal, it stops the wound from being affected any longer by the same cause.

Write down your wins, and bask in celebration over areas you’ve been progressing in. If you can’t celebrate small wins/private victories, don’t expect others to understand your “why” when promoting your finished work.

Sharing my Hormonal acne's ups and downs was always difficult and uncomfortable when having conversations with others about it. Almost every woman I know is either dealing with or has dealt with hormonal imbalance.

I had the privilege and honor to interview an old friend from middle school, Sara Dorvillier. Many of you may know her as a blogger, Classy Sally. Before we jump into the interview, I must say this: the choices that we make each day, shape our tomorrow. A few weeks ago, I attended one of Sara’s monthly “Classy Sally Event” summer brunches.

I love meeting new people, especially like-minded people who share the same interest and passion as me. Social media can be a positive outlet to network, connect, and build healthy relationships that inspire, uplift, and embolden one to make a decision to be a positive beacon of light on a social platform.

Life has a way of turning upside down with or with our permission; that’s part of the fallen world we live in. But the one thing that never changes for me (and hopefully, you’ve realized it too, in your own life) is that the ONE I turn to in the midst of pain, disappointment, and loss of hope is GOD.

In the last two days, I've found myself to be in a slump: extremely sluggish, not motivated to execute any goals, dreams, or anything that would improve my life, and unable to create opportunity and bring everything I’ve been praying for into life. And no, I am not depressed, y'all, lol; I just found myself becoming idle, and fond of being comfortable in the arena!

I had the most exhilarating feeling when I was asked to be a panelist for GEM’s (God Empowers Me) first event. It felt like yesterday when I wondered aloud, wrote in my journal about having speaking engagements, panelist...etc. with opportunities to share my story.

These were some of the actual words I’ve spoken repeatedly over myself when the thoughts penetrated through my mind and many times, if I could be honest, yo girl over here, repeated the same cycles rather than ending them.

If you were to ask a woman what rising up means to her, I guarantee you her reply would most likely stem from a place where she had to fight, surrender, outgrow, overcome, embrace, persevere, pray with tears and fast with a hunger in her heart to experience a shift in her life.

So there he was, and there was I well pieces of me anyway, scattered on the devil's playground like a thousand wood chips under a swing. My heart divided, torn, on the edge, and my mind replaying the enemy's lies over and over again. "You're a waste of a woman to not use your body, you'll be single forever and no man will wait for you. How pathetic of you to wear a purity ring and actually believe in such a stupid thing."
